Maintenance Carpenter

We are seeking a full-time permanent carpenter to join our high-quality maintenance team.
This position is based in Bridgewater where we have a purpose-built office and a maintenance storage shed.

As a Maintenance Carpenter, you will:
- Deliver carpentry and maintenance work to a high standard.
- Perform all duties in a manner that prioritises the safety and wellbeing of yourself, colleagues, tenants, contractors, and members of the public.
- Assess, prioritise, and complete maintenance tasks within required timeframes, responding appropriately to urgent and routine maintenance needs.
- Deliver services in a respectful, professional, and customer-focused manner.
Selection Criteria:
- Commitment to the vision, purpose and values of Loreto Community Housing.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar trade role.
- Excellent demonstrable carpentry skills, with proven experience in providing high quality and safe practice.
- Proven ability to maintain a customer service focus with people from different backgrounds, and the ability to maintain the strictest confidentiality.
- High-level problem-solving skills with confidence to be accountable for actions.
Requirements:
- White Card and relevant Trade Certificate – minimum Certificate III in carpentry
- A willingness to undertake the relevant employee screening process, including the provision of a National Police Criminal History check, a Working with Vulnerable People Card and a pre-employment medical assessment.
- A current unrestricted Drivers Licence.
